Bobo's reply to Nuffnang's Comment

A comment by Nuffnang <---- is it from the real guys? Bobo doesn't know.
"I feel obliged to write this entry and correct public impression because i found the discussions not very accurate.

First Bobo, we would like to apologise if you had a unsatisfactory situation with regards to your cheque from Nuffnang. However please bear in mind, we are not only handling one cheque a day. We can have several hundreds cheque going on any single day so mistakes are bound to have happened. Still i hope you can be understanding of our mistakes as we always strive to provide a perfect service to our customers even sometimes we are found short.

As to the allocation of advertisements, i have to say Nuffnang plays no part in deciding which advertisements go onto which blogs. The final decision lies with the advertiser's choice. We can recommend but if they do not want to, we can't do anything about it. Also, bear in mind, not all blogs are suitable for all advertisements, Nike may be suitable for blogs that touches on sports and others like Starbucks may be suitable for food blogs.

I believe bloggers are eager to place advertisements on their blog and make extra income, but please understand the nature of online advertising. In this line, it is not easy. The advertisers want good value for money. Bloggers want good value for money. We need to have business that is good value for money too. I can only say of all negative comments, we will try to stay relevant to you and strive to become even better than before. Please support Nuffnang, we are an honest advertising medium, not the same you can say of others.
Thank you.
Nuffnang"

Dear "Nuffnang",

First of all Bobo would like to thank you for coming by and leaving a comment, despite your several hundred cheques you have to issue. She thinks that you sparing the time really means something. Well at least it means that you think people might be actually reading her blog and that her thoughts might actually influence some people.

Next, if you read carefully, Bobo was never angry at the fact that the cheque came unsigned. Honestly, if she were she would have posted a picture of the unsigned cheque (which she had emailed to you then) immediately when it had happened. But she still faithfully sent it back and waited for a reply... and the whole thing... took almost a month plus to resolve. Don't you find it ridiculous? The wierd thing was that prior to that incident, tickets were replied to on a daily basis.... and Bobo's first ticket raised about the unsigned cheque was also replied to in 2 days. But the ones after that took ages. It was only after Bobo left a comment in the owner's blog, left the same comment in the thread and raised another ticket, that she received any reply at all.

To say the truth, Bobo wasn't very angry even after all the non-replies. Because if she were, you and her would be having this exchange in November.

She's talking about how curious it was that all the ads have stopped in the past 2 months after the incident. She received plenty before it... then why is it so curious that they have stopped after that? Is it a mere coincidence?

Technically, Nuffnang does have some control over what blogs the advertisers pick, as Nuffnang does the first round of elimination, doesn't it? Nuffnang RECOMMENDS some blogs to the advertisers which means that Nuffnang chooses the blogs to showcase to the advertisers. Bobo does understand that advertisers probably have some criteria which they will give to Nuffnang before viewing the blogs recommended but Bobo's pretty sure if she managed to fall into so many before Nov, then after that should be such a big difference would it?

Bobo shouldn't be unfair. Bobo thinks that more transparency is needed. Maybe if you sent an email to all the blogs recommended to tell them they have been recommended? Then another when they have been approved? Or let it show in the dashboard that they have been recommended X number of times in the past month? Bobo thinks although the number can be fictitious but that would certainly be an attempt on Nuffnang's part to be more "transparent". Last note, in your comment you said that in your line, it's not easy... There isn't any easy job in this world. Bobo's job can be quite shitty in its own way sometimes.

But... nonetheless, Bobo does thank you for leaving a comment. She thinks that it's a nice change (if it's really you from Nuffnang.)

Cheerios,

Bobo
