In one morning, Bobo had to face two of her greatest fears. When everything was over, she laughed at herself and wondered if anyone else in the world feels like her. But however at ease she feels after, she never fails to feel panic-stricken when it happens.
You see, this morning when Bobo was out getting something for breakfast, a black revol
ting creature swopped from a small tree right at her! She ducked and bit on her lip to stop herself from screaming as the crow flew to another tree nearby. She began to run all the way home, stopping only when she was in the comfort of her own home.
Yes, Bobo's afraid of crows. But she has a reason for it. You see, there used to be a crow near her house everyday that would attack her whenever she was going home and some of these attacks would draw blood even. It's not like it's trying to snatch food from her.... it was just trying to scare her....

hen Bobo finally got home, then she saw that her mommy had bought .... CURRY PUFFS. Curry puffs are these little half moon pastries with savoury filling inside. There's usually potato and some chicken... and if you buy good ones like those from Old Chang Kee you'll find some egg in it. Sounds delicious doesn't it? Bobo loves Curry puffs... if not for her fear of biting down on a cockroach when eating it. From the first bite to the last chew... Bobo would fret and keep looking inside the puff, thinking that she would find something in it. And yet, she doesn't know if she would really want to see it.
So when she got home, she started searching for some fears that people might have....
Ombrophobia - Fear of rain or being rained on.
This is a tough one if you live in Singapore. It rains anytime anywhere and during the monsoon season (Nov-Feb?) It'll be hell for these ombrophobics. Are they possibly afraid that they would be like paper when rained on?... Does that mean they can't use shower heads when they bathe because it's a little like raining?
Cometophobia - Fear of comets
When Bobo saw this, she was like... DUH? Then don't be an astronaut! Most people don't get to see comets in their entire lives....
Ablutophobia - Fear of washing or bathing
WHAT?! ....
Androphobia - Fear of men
Completely justified, in Bobo's opinion.
Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.
Note: this is not fear of peanut butter... but more so of it sticking to the roof of the mouth. .... this person probably needs a good mouthwash and toothbrush to help.
Caligynephobia - Fear of beautiful women
Bobo wonders if it's men or women who are more susceptible to this fear. If it's men then she guesses that it's quite possible that it means these men are afraid that the beautiful women would cheat them of their feelings I guess. But if women are the ones who are afraid.... What if they were beautiful themselves? hmm
Chaetophobia: Fear of hair
Own hair or other people's hair? If it's just your own hair, Bobo guesses it's ok to be bald for life. But other people's.... wouldd prove to be a tough one.
Chrometophobia or Chrematophobia: Fear of money.
And to think people always say... GOT MONEY WHO DON'T WANT? well, Viola!
Hamartophobia: Fear of sinning.
Hadephobia: Fear of hell.
These two... sort of go hand in hand don't they? mm Bobo thinks in general people don't really want to do bad things but what would constitute a FEAR of sinning? mmm Maybe Saints had this.
Leukophobia: Fear of the color white.
And one would think white was pure......................
Mysophobia: Fear of germs or contamination or dirt.
Mysophobics and Ablutophobics do not go together. No doubt about that.
Rhytiphobia: Fear of getting wrinkles.
Botox coming right up!
Scolionophobia: Fear of school.
haha Bobo can name plenty of people with this fear...........
Urophobia: Fear of urine or urinating.
..... then how?????
