Earthquake in China, Sichuan

Many of you might know by now that Bobo left for China on Sunday. Then came the news of the Earthquake in Sichuan. The earthquake that left many dead and more missing.

Bobo is safe here in China. She's actually in Wuxi, which is in the eastern end of China whereas Sichuan is in the western end. But there's a lot of concern here now.

The affected area is surrounded by mountains and the roads leading into it are blocked by the boulders which have fallen off the mountains. Thus aid can only arrive on foot. There are schools and a hospital buried in the rubble. Also, the help that was due to arrive by air.... some of the people died having landed in wrong places. (From what I understood according to my Chinese friends.)

Bobo pledged to donate some money but that's basically all she can do at the moment. She's donating along with the workmates here who are going to search for a reliable "collector". Meanwhile ... let's keep our fingers crossed.
