Bobo had been thinking about it for a few days really. She doesn't quite know how to put it into words for the fear of creating misunderstandings... But since this is her blog... here goes.
After the Mumbai incident, there had been so many comments not just for the victims but many about the 'terrorists' themselves. How they were so cruel, so heartless...
But.. no babies are borne like that....
Bobo thought to herself... what kind of lives did these people lead? What kind of social conditioning were they under? Did it start from the day they were born? Were their parents the same? Was their community the same? Why were they filled with hatred and the desire for revenge was so overwhelming for them that they wished to punished other people?
Lastly... what happened to lead to this?
Bobo is not saying all this to gain sympathy for those who have killed.
But she's trying to say... that... this incident did not occur just cos there were some evil beings around. It's much more than that.
Bobo said this before.
No incident stands alone. It's like a childhood thing of "You beat me so I beat you la". But on a much larger scale in the adult world. OR it's something about... "why you have I don't have?" mentality.
Bobo finds it so hard to put all her thoughts down. She's afraid of stepping on landmines herself.
